Marantz SR6003 AV Receiver - Trusted Reviews

Marantz-SR6003-AV-Receiver.jpg

Trusted Reviews have published a review of the Marantz SR6003 AV Receiver. 'The front panel is pleasingly free from clutter, and the display panel on the front is large, easy to read and packs in lots of information. It's flanked by two control dials for volume and input selection, and below it is a drop-down flap that hides a row of controls and AV inputs, including S-video, composite, analogue stereo and optical digital audio. They're joined by sockets for headphones and the Audyssey setup microphone, plus a USB port for playing back MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV files from memory devices, which kind of makes up for the lack of an iPod dock.'

Review: Onkyo TX-SR576 AV Receiver - Pocket-Lint

Onkyo-TX-SR576-AV.jpg

Pocket-Lint have published a review of the Onkyo TX-SR576 AV receiver. 'The TX-SR576 supports most but not all audio codecs available. You get Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS Neo:6 and DTS 96/24 decoding however not Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio. Fear not, however, as if you've got a PS3 or a half-decent Blu-ray player it will do the audio decoding for the codecs not supported anyway meaning you can still benefit. Get past all the what-it-can-and-can't-do limitations and you're left with a receiver that still performs very well. When it comes to the set-up it's all very simple thanks to the Audyssey 2EQ RoomEQ/auto set-up. The system merely involves you dumping a microphone in the centre of the room and the amp doing the rest. The system then goes about determining how many speakers you've got connected, their size, the distance from the microphone and therefore the optimum settings for your system.'

ZeeVee-ZvBox-Zv-100.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Zeevee ZvBox System which allows consumers to watch anything they can get online or on their computers on all the HDTVs in their homes. 'The ZeeVee ZvBox Zv-100 (got all that?) package includes two main components--the ZvBox itself and the wireless remote--and several bundled accessories. The main ZvBox unit is a nondescript black box that looks like an elongated VHS tape; its main function is to split your PC monitor video output (VGA) to your DTV (via coaxial cable). The remote is a sizable unit that includes a laptop-style trackpad and mouse buttons for remotely controlling the PC's desktop. It communicates to the PC wirelessly, via a USB antenna dongle; it can also control basic TV functions (volume, channel, power) on up to three sets via infrared.'
