Mobile Edge Dig Laptop Messenger Review - PC Mag

Mobile-Edge-Dig-Laptop-Messenger.jpg

A review of the Mobile Edge Dig Laptop Messenger notebook carrying case has been posted over at PC Mag. 'The Dig's main compartment is divided into two sections. The laptop bag's trademarked Superior SafetyCell computer protection compartment is designed to accommodate 15.4-inch laptops, though my 17-inch MacBook Pro was able to fit snugly. The cushion was thick enough to make my laptop feel really well protected. The second section can hold a paper notebook or a few magazines, but not much else. Underneath the flap, there's a front Velcro enclosed sleeve with a pocket for your wallet, cell phone, and various gadgets, plus another mesh zippered section for your pencils and pens.'

Livescribe Pulse Smartpen Review - Laptop Mag

Livescribe-Pulse-Smartpen-Review.jpg

Laptop Magazine have published a review of the Livescribe Pulse Smartpen which is a computer within a pen that captures handwriting and simultaneously records audio and synchronizes it to the writing. 'The Pulse is about the size and weight of a highlighter; it has a ballpoint cartridge and includes three refills of black ink and a stylus tip. About 6 inches long and half an inch in diameter, the charcoal blue, anodized aluminum pen is easy to tote in its included case and fits into a shirt pocket or pen slot. On its spine the Pulse has a 96 x 18-pixel OLED display and a power button above it. Dual embedded mics straddle the screen, and a speaker lies below. The Pulse comes with a cradle that both charges the pen and syncs it with a PC; the pen clips to the cradle magnetically.'

Mobile Edge Mini Messenger Bag Review - The Gadgeteer

Mobile-Edge-Mini-Messenger-Bag.jpg

The Gadgeteer have publsihed a review of the Mobile Edge Mini Messenger Bag 'This bag is made of heavy-duty 1680D Ballistic Nylon and is available in four color styles, that include Black with Orange piping, Black with Pink piping, Black with Red front and Black with Silver front. I was sent the Black with Orange. Right away I realized that the Mobile Edge Mini Messenger was not really a true messenger style bag - not that there is a definition carved in stone somewhere out there... This bag is more vertical than horizontal, with a long flap that is held closed by a pinch plastic clip.'

Review: Mophie Juice Pack for iPod Touch - CNET

Mophie-Juice-Pack-for-iPod-Touch.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Mophie Juice Pack for iPod Touch media player. 'Constructed from matte black plastic with a green interior, the Juice Pack's unique design fits onto your iPod Touch like a case. If the iPod Touch wasn't already so thin, we'd feel the need to complain about how the Juice Pack doubles the total thickness of the player. In truth, we thought the extra bulk added by the Juice Pack made our iPod Touch feel more substantial. The Mophie Juice Pack also adds an extra inch to the bottom of the Touch, obscuring the iPod's dock connection and relocating the headphone jack to the bottom left.'

Review: Penguin 4X Quad Charge Station for Wii - CNET

Penguin-4X-Quad-Charge-Station-for-Wii.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Penguin 4X Quad Charge Station for the Wii which recharges 4 Wii remotes simultaneously. 'The Quad Charge Station is a circular base that won't go sliding away thanks to its rubber feet. The four Wii remote docking slots are arranged in a cross-shaped pattern on the unit's topside, which is sloped upward. The bright blue LEDs under each docking slot aren't the tackiest thing we've ever come across, but in a dark room they may become distracting. Unfortunately, there's no way to turn these lights off once the charging base is plugged in, but the AC adapter cable is detachable from the base itself.

Review: Aerielle i2i Stream Wireless Digital Audio Streaming Device - The Gadgeteer

Aerielle-i2i-Stream-Wireless-Digital-Audio-Device.jpg

The Gadgeteer have published a review of the Aerielle i2i Stream wireless digital audio device for iPod and MP3 Players. 'The i2i Stream is a small module that has both a receiver and a transmitter contained inside it, that operates on the 2.5GHz frequency. They are sold in packs of two for $119.95, or can be purchased separately at $69.95 each. I was sent one package of two for this review. The modules are approximately 2.5 x 1.25 x 075 inches in size. On the face of the i2i Stream are three buttons and two LEDs. The round center button is the channel button. It has an LED behind it, that can glow Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple or Light Blue. Each color signifies a different transmit channel and changes each time you press it. The button above the channel button is the Send button and the button below it is the Receive button. If you press the Send button, it will cause the center LED to blink, which shows that you're broadcasting audio on whichever colored channel is blinking. Pressing the Receive button will cause the module to receive any audio that is being broadcast on whichever colored channel that you're set to.'

CODi Phantom CT3 - TabletPCReview

CODi-Phantom-CT3.jpg

TabletPCReview have published a review of the CODi Phantom CT3 Checkpoint laptop bag. 'If you are familiar with CODi products, you would recognize the Phantom CT3 as a CODi design immediately. It is simple, no frills and is made of the same black ballistic nylon as many of their other bags. There is a small red CODi CT3 label on the front and the zipper hardware has CODi engraved on them. The CT3 is basically two bags hinged together at the top so it can fold out into a butterfly design when going through airport security. The two "pockets" - as CODi refers to them - are secured together for normal use with Velcro and plastic side buckles.'

Review: Yamaha Pocketrak 2G Pocket Stereo Recorder - CNET

Yamaha-Pocketrak-2G.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Yamaha Pocketrak 2G Pocket Stereo Recorder. 'The Pocketrak 2G is marketed toward recording musicians, but its lightweight, low-profile design is just dying to be used for covert spy missions and concert bootlegging. Clad in a glossy black plastic and measuring 4.75 inches by 1.25 inches by 0.25 inch (HWD), the Pocketrak 2G is easily concealed in your pocket, or tucked away in some dark corner. The Pocketrak 2G's built-in stereo microphone takes up the last half inch of the top of the device, and can be angled up on its hinge to prevent it from picking up vibrations when laid on a table.

Eastpak Floyd Rucksack - Pocket-Lint

Eastpak-Floyd-Rucksack.jpg

Pocket-Lint have published a review of the Eastpak Floyd laptop bag. 'The Floyd is a backpack that comes in a variety of colours – our review unit was a black and grey pinstripe but you can choose from plain single colours to blue and even orange camouflage. The design is fairly basic with a large pocket for your personal effects and a divider for your notebook. There are three smaller pockets on the front that are ideal for small items, such as your MP3 player or wallet. It's a compact design and considering it will fit a 17-inch notebook. When Eastpak say a 17-inch notebook, they mean a MacBook Pro, as the space is far too narrow to fit most other makes inside.'

Food Blenders Review - Washington Post

Vita-Mix-Blender.jpg

The Washington Post have published a review of the Vita-Mix 5200, Waring Pro 3HP and Blendtec Total Blender food processors. 'After weeks of working with the Vita-Mix 5200, the Waring Pro 3HP and the Blendtec Total Blender, I think the answer is: almost, but not quite. Take out the food processor requirement, and any of these blenders could indeed be an all-in-one appliance. Granted, if you already have a fully stocked kitchen, spending $400 or more on such a workhorse might not fit into your budget, especially during tough economic times. But if you're building a kitchen from scratch or putting together a wedding registry, if you're a smoothie addict or if your diet demands lots of fruits and vegetables and perhaps some alternative flours, one of these nifty things might be worth a look.'

Aerogel Extreme LapDesk Review - PaulStamatiou.com

Aerogel-Extreme-LapDesk.jpg

PaulStamatiou.com have published a review of the Aerogel Extreme LapDesk. 'Hot laptops are nothing new. Even with smaller processor fabrication, laptops keep getting smaller making it hard to effectively cool them without a large heatsink or loud fan. Case in point - my MacBook Air is a heater and it doesn’t help that the exhaust vent is angled down. I end up moving it around in various awkward lap positions while in classrooms with stadium seats that offer little desk space to place a laptop.

Kodak M1020 Digital Picture Frame Review - Computeractive

Kodak-M1020.jpg

A review of the Kodak M1020 digital picture frame has been posted over at Computeractive. 'We had mixed feelings about the last Kodak photo frame we reviewed, which added convenience in the form of wireless access but let itself down on the performance front. We're now looking at the 10in version of the company's new frames, the M1020, which offers the same 800x480 pixel resolution but thankfully looks a bit better than the last one. It's still not perfect, and while colours were far more vibrant and accurate, there were problems with sharpness and we were a little disappointed that there wasn't at least a small increase in the resolution, considering the size of the display.'

ESPN The Ultimate Remote - PC Mag

ESPN-The-Ultimate-Remote.jpg

PC Magazine have published a review of the ESPN "The Ultimate" Universal Remote. 'A rectangular, baton-style device, with smoothly curved edges, the remote measures 7 by 2.3 by 0.8 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.4 ounces. It's a bit bulky, and not particularly comfortable to hold, and it has a lot of tightly packed buttons that aren't finger friendly. It reminds me of the older Logitech Harmony 880, which was lousy with small buttons that were difficult to use. The battery is rechargeable, and the remote ships with a charging cradle.'
