Samsung appear to have scored big with the reviewers especially with its big screen televisions at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. CNET picked the HL-S5679W for its "Best of CES" award in the HDTV Category. 'The Samsung HL-S5679W's LED light source engine offers a host of benefits, including significantly improved longevity, increased color gamut reproduction, quicker turn-on time, and greater environmental friendliness. The high-powered LED light source replaces the current UHP bulb. The LED light sourced single chip DLP light engine does not require a color wheel and provides improved longevity. Red, green and blue LEDs sequentially fire to produce smooth, stable color. The new light engine provides a longer lamp life (up to 20,000 hours) and a shorter turn-on time (approximately 7 seconds). The engine is also mercury-free making it more environmentally friendly.'

I'm really interested in the net dimensions of Samsung's 56 Inch HDTV HL-S5679W due out in April. I'm trying to customize wood cabinet and really would like to know these figures.... I'm convinced this TV is the "deal"
Samsung has held its own for a long time even in light of the fact many feel their electronics may not be on par with the Sonys et al.
